INCIDENT TYPE:                Personal Injury Traffic Crash

CASE #:                              11-384        

DATE OCCURRED:             Tuesday February 8, 2011   TIME: 6:45 p.m.

LOCATION OCCURRED:     2900 Block of Gull Rd., Kalamazoo Township.
           
         
VICTIM INFO:  
Victim #1: 36 year old male MDOT worker transported to Borgess Hospital and listed in stable condition.
Victim #2: 50 year old male MDOT worker transported to Borgess Hospital and listed in critical condition with a severe head injury.
  
    
INCIDENT SUMMARY:  Police and rescue personnel responded to the 2900 block of Gull Rd. in Kalamazoo Township where
officers determined that the driver of an eastbound vehicle struck two MDOT workers who were patching holes in the roadway.  
Both victims were transported to Borgess Hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.
Alcohol and excessive speed do not seem to be a factor in the accident.  The accident is still under investigation.  


ASSISTING AGENCIES: Kalamazoo Township Fire assisted with traffic and treating the victims.  Kalamazoo Department of Public
Safety officers assisted with traffic control.  Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputies processed the accident scene.

INCIDENT TYPE:                  Manufacturing Methamphetamines      

DATE OCCURRED:               Wednesday   February 2, 2011   TIME: 8:00 p.m.

LOCATION OCCURRED:       2600 block Douglas Avenue, Kalamazoo Township.
                                     The Forty Winks Motel

VICTIM INFO:  
           
INCIDENT SUMMARY.  Officers were dispatched to the Forty Winks Motel in the 2600 block of Douglas Avenue on a report of an
explosion.  Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence of an explosion resulting from manufacturing methamphetamines.  Two
subjects were seen by witnesses leaving the scene in a gray SUV.  There are no reported injuries to any persons at this time and the
matter is still under investigation.
