INCIDENT SUMMARY. The victim states he was walking down the sidewalk in the 2100 block of Gull Rd. when he was approached by two males. At that time one of the subjects brandished a hand gun and attempted to rob him. A struggle took place and the firearm discharged striking the victim in the leg. The reported victim was able to walk to a nearby apartment to call for help and was transported to Borgess Hospital for treatment to a single gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was treated and released.
INJURIES: Gunshot wound to the leg.
SUSPECTS: Two black males reported to be in their late teens or early twenties.

INCIDENT TYPE: Traffic crash with minor injuries.
DATE OCCURRED: November 4, 2010 at approximately 11:47 a.m.
LOCATION OCCURRED: Business Loop 131 west of Barney Rd. in the Township and County of Kalamazoo
VICTIM INFO: Two workers from Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) who were doing routine roadway maintenance.
INJURIES RECEIVED: Both victims were transported to Bronson Hospital where they are being treated for their injuries. Both subjects are expected to be released by the end of today.
INCIDENT SUMMARY: The Kalamazoo Township Police Department responded to a traffic crash where two MDOT workers were injured while doing routine maintenance work. A delivery van that was inbound on Business Loop 131 west of Barney Rd. changed lanes and lost control. The vehicle slid off the roadway and struck an MDOT truck and trailer loaded with construction signs. Two MDOT workers who were working on the roadway were injured while attempting to get out of the way of the crash. Both MDOT employees were transported to Bronson Hospital by Pride Ambulance. The driver of the delivery van was not injured. The Kalamazoo Township Police were assisted at the scene by Kalamazoo Township Fire/Rescue and Pride Care Ambulance.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. Names of the subjects involved are not being released at this time, and the incident remains under investigation.
